My name is Pallavi Kumbhar, and I began learning the piano at the age of 15. My first piano was a small 3-octave instrument that my mom had borrowed from a friend. She had been learning classical music and had written down some notes in her book. Curious, I decided to try reading her notes and playing along.

 

I’ll never forget the joy I felt when I successfully played my very first piece. That moment sparked my passion for the piano and encouraged me to learn more. Over time, I progressed to playing a piece from one of my favourite Hindi songs, which I was very proud of. That was the moment my piano journey truly began.
